Full Moon in Libra

Image created in collaboration with ChatGPT, 2025.

The Full Moon in Libra just happened on April 12, 2025, at 8:22 p.m. EST. On this same day, Venus, the ruler of Libra, went direct after over 40 days of retrograde. Opposite the moon, Chiron is conjunct the Sun in Aries, the opposite sign on the zodiac to Libra. If you have felt some type of way, you weren’t crazy.

I wasn’t always into astrology, but over time, the more I looked, the more it resonated with how I figured things out in life. I have never feared the planets or the energy in their alignments but just like someone sharing wisdom with a map or their experiences of a trip, if we listen to the wisdom shared and are aware as we navigate through our own personal experience, it makes it a more relaxing and enjoyable experience, even when everything seems to be in chaos or failure.

With the Full Moon and Venus opposite Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer, we were given the opportunity to see. The energy of the moon illuminated, and we could see the wound. No one wants to see a wound on themselves. But how can you heal a wound if you don’t know what you are working with? What we see, we can heal.

Even though the exact alignment has passed, we can still work with this energy over the next few days. I offer you a sigil (a symbol used in ritualistic magic to harness your positive energy, hope, and will into action.), a tea recipe, and a little ritual that might help.

I am currently in the season of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, represented by the element of Wood. Astrologically, we are in the season of Aries, represented by the element of Fire. Wood generates Fire. This energetic alignment allows us to truly align with what we are aligned to create…our own healing…our forward movement. It’s not forced. It’s aligned. It’s the season to move, to change, to heal, and to surrender that which we may have done before or even what was successful before but now isn’t aligned in this moment. Wisdom acknowledges and shifts. To shift, we must first shift our perspective, then we look at ourselves in full illumination even in the presence of a wound.

Womb-Warming, Blood-Moving, Heart-Soothing Tea

You’ve just come home to your place of peace and sanctuary. The lights are low. The air is still and familiar. On the stove, there is a small pot slowly simmering. You turn off the heat and pour the warm herbal brew through a strainer into your favorite mug. Steam is curling from your mug, and you slowly walk to a place to sit and be held.

You lift the mug to your lips, and the scent rises:
Soft, deep, and floral rose, warm cinnamon, a whisper of ginger, and motherwort’s earthy hush greet you. It’s floral and aromatically spiced and ancient all at once.

This brew warms your hands, your belly, your womb.
You don’t need to say anything. The tea knows. The plants know.
They’ve already begun holding you.

And you—
You’ve already begun healing.

Womb-Warming, Blood-Moving, Heart-Soothing Tea

Ingredients:

  • Fresh ginger (Shen Jiang) – 3–5 thin slices. I love ginger and used about 24 grams. (warms, circulates, eases cramping)

  • Cinnamon stick (Rou Gui) – 1 small piece or ½ tsp (warms womb, moves blood)

  • Motherwort (Yi Mu Cao) – 1 tsp dried (blood mover, calms uterus + heart)

  • Dried rose petals or buds (Mei Gui Hua) – 1 tsp (moves Liver Qi, opens Heart)

  • Orange peel (Chen Pi or fresh zest) – 1 small piece (moves qi, supports digestion)

  • Optional: dried piece of Licorice (Gan Cao) if you want sweetness + smooth energy flow

Instructions:

  1. Simmer all ingredients (except rose) in 2–3 cups of water for 10–15 minutes

  2. Turn off heat, add rose petals, cover, and let steep 5–10 more minutes

  3. Strain and drink warm once or twice a day.

I had a sigil created to align with plants and the energy that I am currently working with. I offer this for you to use, but if these plants don’t resonate with you, feel free to adjust it as you need to. Ritual matches the vibration of where we are at. Our ancestors gave us incredible gifts, and it is up to us to align and use those offerings, adjusting as required.

I am currently in a massive healing journey with my health physically. I have Multiple Sclerosis and am experiencing some other health issues that require surgery and attention. I have to choose my health over anything. I am currently finishing my third year of integrative medical school, single parenting and homeschooling my youngest two children, and working on a farm (not so much right now because of my physical health). The choices and the wounds are asking me in deep sacredness to move and live in a space of integrity, health, and wisdom. That is challenging because I am used to just moving through challenges at the sacrifice of my health. My body won’t allow that now. She didn’t ever really, but I ignored it. I am choosing to look at my wound and heal it. And wounds take time to heal. Stepping into shifting is monumental and feels like I have decided to turn a giant ship in the opposite direction. But here I am. Trusting that alignment and course correction is the best thing. So, I share what I created for myself. Use it as a jumping-off point or all of it in its entirety.

Core Structure: The Circle and the Cross

  • Circle: Represents unity, wholeness, the womb of creation, the cycles of the moon, and the sacred container you hold for healing. It echoes the full moon in Libra—balance, reflection, and sacred reciprocity.

  • Vertical Axis (Heaven to Earth): Channels divine guidance, intuition, ancestral connection, and universal wisdom through you.

  • Horizontal Axis (Inner to Outer): Represents your journey from internal healing to external manifestation—your work, your creations, your voice.

Together, this is your compass: Earth-Rooted + Spirit-Led.

Eight-Petal Star/Flower

  • Inspired by the Wheel of the Year and the eight-spoked Dharma Wheel—symbols of time, transformation, and spiritual evolution.

  • Each petal corresponds to one of the plants named below:

    • Rose (love)

    • Calendula (protection)

    • Lavender (calm)

    • Helichrysum (sacred healing)

    • Saffron (joy, vitality)

    • Mugwort (dreams, vision)

    • Chamomile (soothing)

    • Dandelion (resilience)

They're arranged to feel like they are gently radiating from the center—like prayers whispered through petals.

The Sigil Lines (Inner Glyphs)

These are encoded from the phrase:
"Heal, Create, Align, Remember."

Heal
your body and lineage
Create with purpose and heart
Align with the Earth and cosmos
Remember who you are and why you're here

Gold & Deep Earth Colors

  • Gold honors Chiron (Wounded Healer through beauty, nature, and embodied wisdom).

  • Deep earthy tones ground the energy, helping your work remain anchored and nourishing to others.

This sigil isn’t just an image—it’s a living spell of protection, inspiration, and embodiment.

Mini Ritual: Transitioning from Labor to Love

"I release the path that asks me to fragment. I step onto the path that invites me to bloom."

You can do this ritual when the time feels right—perhaps tonight under the moonlight or in the early morning light.

You will need:

  • A small candle (white, gold, or lavender if you have one)

  • A pinch of rosemary (for remembrance and clarity)

  • A flower (fresh or dried)

  • A small dish of water

  • Your sigil (print it, draw it, or visualize it)

  • A small bowl of salt to clear released or negatively charged energies.

Ritual:

  1. Prepare your space. Light your candle and place your items before you. Sit or stand comfortably, feeling the earth beneath you.

  2. Hold the rosemary in your hand, and say:
“I honor the work of my hands. I honor the soil that held me. I release all that is no longer aligned, with gratitude.”

  3. Place the rosemary in the dish of water.

  4. Hold or gaze at the flower, and say:
“I bloom now from love. From vision. From sacred work. My energy is a precious offering.”

  5. Hold your sigil or gaze at it, and say:
“I step into my own magic. I call forward my path, resourced and rooted. May all that I give return to me multiplied, in beauty and in peace.”

Blow out the candle. Let the dish of water return to the earth later in the day/night. You can keep the salt out and use it daily to clear your space or discard.
